This is how it is.

Wherever you are, if someone expresses any disagreement or makes a "not so friendly comment" you'll always find someone who would say "If you don't like it, go away!" but, is that even right to say? I mean, sometimes you can like something but not everything about it. In my opinion, that applies to most things, at least a 99% of things, if you have a brain and use it.
Not everything is black or white, on the contrary, most things are in gray scale never reaching 100% white nor 100% black. Meaning: Most things aren't completely good nor completely bad.
Yes, that applies to people too.
For example; Overall, I think Lady Gaga is overrated and her songs sound the same or as recycled songs from the 80s and her fashion is just a cry-out-loud: LOOK AT MEEEE!. She must have been a very insecure kid... Anyway! That doesn't mean I don't enjoy 2-3 songs of her (I said she's overrated not completely useless :p ), and that doesn't make me a hypocrite. I don't hate her or anything, I keep things real.
Nothing and no one is perfect. That just happens in Disney fairytales and we all know they aren't real (if you didn't know that you fail at life). There, either you are completely bad or completely cute and good, and awesome and all that. And both extremes are wrong. Well, I do actually dislike more the goody-goody good than the bad ones, I think it's mostly because people worry so much about being good and perfect according to what others think is being good and perfect. We all saw Enchanted (if not, go see it!), that doesn't work very well in the real world. Specially because, in real life, there is no CG animals that will clean and sew horrible dresses for us.
Like all those ancient stuff about Karma and the Ying-Yang. There is good and evil in everyone but, honestly, I don't like saying "evil", that just makes you feel bad and want to reject it. We all are imperfect and our job during our lifetime is to learn from our imperfections and be the best each of us can be. I didn't say perfect! because perfection doesn't exist and if it did then ask yourself this: Perfect according to who? Your mom? Your dad? Your hot neighbor? The Kardashians?
Hope you get the point.
Like, we all love our parents, some more or less than others, but our parents are humans, they're people too! so, apart from having feelings, they also are imperfect and that is just fine. Every one of us is different from one another, we can have some things in common but there is no other person like you or me. That's why we'll always have (or become...) the friend in the abusive relationship who doesn't want to leave the bf/gf, or the friend who is always in need of something, or the friend who is always there to help us, or the friend who is always doing something stupid and we all want to slap to death, or the wanna be popular friend, etc. They all are our friends even though they have issues and what not, why? because, at some level, we understand they are different from us and no one is perfect. But when it comes to parents we forget they can be all that too or we feel with the right to ask them to be perfect. Dude, for real, being imperfect is about tolerance and respecting anyone's imperfections. If you haven't noticed, you are NOT perfect and being all emo and/or stupid is not bringing you closer to it.
That's why the message of the week is: We should not work on being perfect, we should work on being the best we can be.
And that is how it is.

MTV Fail: Best?! Choreography.

What happened to the cool choreographies music videos used to have? Did they really disappear when Britney Spears got fat and crazy? Oh, and had those knee surgeries too! (I didn't forget :D )
I mean, now we have Lady Gaga doing the "where did the fly go?" movements to get a nomination just because she's weird, ugly and desperate for attention. Yes, THAT got nominated to best choreography of the year. She can't dance, the 'choreographies' are dumb, there are any cool movements that show any kind of skill at all. Dressing weird shouldn't be a reason to be nominated to that category. Choreographies are about (read carefully) DANCING. Weird, huh?
I keep watching the video and waiting for the choreography that got her nominated.
Another nominee is Britney Spears but, I have to say this, memories shouldn't be nominated either. I mean, goddamn, she could dance back in the day! I seriously believe there was no other girl who would dance like her back then, BUT! those days are long gone. 'Til the World Ends does not have any choreography worthy to be called 'The Best', unlike I'm a Slave 4 U (which is like the "shinny" version of 'Til the World Ends) or like, even the lousy slow pop songs she came up with in her first album had better dancing! (go check Sometimes). I felt like I was watching Christina Aguilera back in the Dirty days... and that's not a good memory.
Then we have Bruno Mars with his Lazy Song, while he's no Justin Timberlake (obviously) nor the chimps are. The song is funny and so is the choreography but I wonder if that's enough to go for a title that should be reserved to the best of the best. The Lazy Song with a lazy choreography of pelvis movement... I'd not give him the nomination but maybe a honorific mention for the... effort?.
Another video I was watching and waiting for the choreography was LMFAO's... really? they got a nomination? Now I see why Gaga got hers. Same technique but inverse. Instead of arms they were kicking and, for around 10 seconds, kicked with a few dancers at the same time but, like Gaga, no real skill required or whatsoever.
If you put all those 4 together agains the 5th nominee, Beyonce, those poor guys have NOTHING. She can dance! (even though I hate the song). She is perfect (specially in comparison with the other 4). Great movements, skill, everything goes amazing with the music and it's not only flapping your arms aimlessly (Lady Gaga) or trying to kill that damn roach desperately (LMFAO's video). She has strength, precision and rhythm (unlike Britney and Bruno).
Seriously, if you can't find any choreography worthy to be called "The Best", don't waste your time and nominate crap just because, you'll do so much better just to announce Beyonce won and that would be it. Or, for that matter, rename it to "Choreography of the Year" and save the Best for the ones who deserve it.
Yes, I said it, and I don't regret it.
